Wire/Bulk Payments
The Ventura County Tax Collector may accept electronic wire transfers or ACH payments from select bulk payers who meet the minimum requirements. These payers need to be set up prior to a collection cycle and must remit an Excel worksheet of the properties they intend to pay. The worksheet will have the date the Treasury department will expect the funds and must match the worksheet for processing.
California Revenue and Taxation Code 2503.2 states that the Tax Collector may, in his or her discretion, require any taxpayer, or any paying agent of a taxpayer or taxpayers, who makes an aggregate payment of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or more on the two most recent regular installments on the secured roll or on the one installment of the most recent unsecured tax roll, to make subsequent payments by electronic funds transfer.
Notice
The Ventura County Tax Collector is exploring a more streamlined way of accepting wires and payment files from bulk payers.
If you are interested in paying with ACH or wire transfer, please fill out the Application and Excel worksheet. Submit both completed forms to Property.Tax@ventura.org. If approved, an agent will assign you a control number and supply the wire instructions to pay.
For questions regarding bulk payments, wire information or W-9, please contact the Tax Accounting Unit at (805) 654-3734 or Property.Tax@ventura.org. Payments statuses and billing information can be found at https://prop-tax.countyofventura.org/.
