Ventura Main Office

The Tax Collector’s normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and closed for applicable holidays.  The Office is located at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA 93009-1290, in the Government Center-Hall of Administration.

Until further notice, our office is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 

For payments in office, we accept:

• Checks – checks, money orders, cashier checks; in any combination; multiple per transaction

• Cash

• Combination of cash and checks

• Credit Cards will NOT be accepted in office.  

Drive-Up Drop Box – Ventura, CA

Tax payments made by CHECK (NO CASH) may be dropped in the Tax Collector Drive-Up Drop Box located in the North/West side of Parking Lot F at the Hall of Administration at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA 93009.  The Drive-Up Drop Box is open 24/7, 365 days per year.

Tax payments made by check may be dropped in a Tax Collector Drop Box. Checks must be payable to VC Tax Collector. Please write your bill number or APN on your check.

We have two new drop boxes with limited hours now available:

*Camarillo, CA at the Camarillo Police Department | 3701 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA 93010

*Thousand Oaks, CA at the East Valley Sheriff Station | 2101 Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360

These drop boxes will open again November 25, 2024 through December 10, 2024.
