Register for Staff Presentation to the Board of Supervisors

This information is intended for County Staff and project consultants who make presentations to the Board of Supervisors, or otherwise need to participate as staff in a Board of Supervisors meeting. Members of the public should be directed to www.ventura.org/boscomment for their participation options.

All staff with items on a Board of Supervisors’ Agenda are expected to attend and present at the Board of Supervisors’ Meeting in person.
Departments with items on the consent agenda are also required to attend in person and be available until the consent agenda is approved.

Staff responsible for items on a Board of Supervisors’ agenda are required register no later than noon on the day before the meeting, and submit the required information as indicated in the survey.
The information collected will be provided to the Chair of the Board and used during the meeting to identify responsible staff.

Registration opens when the Board of Supervisors’ agenda is posted for public viewing.

You will not receive a confirmation E-Mail after registering. If no one registers for an agenda item by noon on the day prior to the Board meeting, the Agency director will receive a reminder E-mail from the Clerk of the Board staff.

PowerPoint Presentations

Presentation submission procedures must be followed, as outlined in the Board Letter Standards and Procedures Manual (Manual) on page 11. Please present the PPT submitted to the Clerk, since the version submitted is the version used as part of the item’s official record.

Advanced Testing of PPTs and staff presentations may be arranged per the instructions on page 12 of the Manual.

The Zoom registration questionnaire will ask you to indicate if you intend to present a PowerPoint presentation.

Why do we have a registration deadline?

On the meeting day, running the Board meeting is priority for the meeting operations staff: the Clerk of the Board, CEO-IT and GSA. Any late request submitted will most likely not be seen and are extremely difficult to accommodate due to the many layers of technology required to make a Board meeting run and increased amount of staff working during the meeting. Please do not email clerks or staff directly with late requests.
