“I came just before 4:30 p.m. yet the case worker and her supervisor brainstormed why my food stamps card was not being ‘read’ by my local Vons supermarket. They determined that I needed a replacement food stamps card, updated my balance, and issued my replacement card that same appointment… even though I was a walk-in without an appointment. I was impressed with this case worker’s professionalism and determination to solve the problem at the end of her work day. A job well done indeed. It makes me proud to be born and raised in Ventura.”
