About the Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN)
The 3C-REN is a collaboration among three California Central Coast local government agencies working together to deliver regional energy efficiency programs that meet local needs and help reduce energy use, carbon emissions, and meet the goals of local climate action plans.
The 3C-REN is launching energy efficiency programs and services in mid-2019 designed to address the needs and challenges of local government agencies, building professionals, and residents in our region:
3C-REN’s Codes and Standards Program offers regional services, resources, and training to public and private sector building professionals focused on California’s Energy and Green Building Codes and designed to increase comprehension, compliance, and enforcement.
- Energy Codes Coach is available to provide convenient, expert, and local guidance to public and private building professionals regarding California’s Energy and Green Building Codes. Receive free, neutral, third-party guidance for all projects in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties.
- Workforce Education and Training to create career pathways through learning and development programs that directly benefit the residential and commercial construction industries (renovation and new construction), supports code compliance, and bolsters our regional economy by providing access to locally hosted development opportunities (e.g. technical, in-field, certifications, and more).
- Residential Direct Install Program for Hard to Reach Customers assists residents to make free and low-cost improvements to their homes that save money, reduce energy use, and improve the health, safety, comfort, and durability of Central Coast homes, while helping reduce carbon emissions towards healthier and greener communities.
