The Ag/Urban Interface
The Right to Farm Ordinance and APAC Ag/Urban Buffer Policy help assure farming can continue even with urban neighbors.

The Ventura County Agricultural Commissioner provides administrative support to the county Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee. The office provides environmental evaluations related to land use projects on or in the vicinity of agricultural land. If you are planning a project in the unincorporated area of the county that is adjacent to agriculture please consult the website for the County Planning Division at https://vcrma.org/divisions/planning where you will find information on the permitting process and other Land Use Planning Resources. You may also wish to consult the Ventura County Non-Coastal Zoning Ordinance for further information.
