Film PermitCounty of Ventura Film Permit Requirements and ProcessThe County of Ventura requires all commercial film production companies to file a Film Permit Application for all filming activities within the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. Filming activities include: feature films, TV series, TV movies, commercials, music videos, photo stills, and web productions. The Film Permit Application is processed by the Planning Division and is distributed to the other County departments that regulate filming activities. The Planning Division will serve as the “gate keeper" but the film permit will be issued only after:
The applicant must contact the various County departments to determine what their requirements might be. Filming for personal use such as family events, weddings, graduations, parties, and other holiday activities are exempt from filing a Film Permit Application. |
