Permits
Processing
The
primary intent of Building regulation is to provide
reasonable controls for the construction, use and occupancy
of buildings and all of their various components.
Thus such codes are minimum in nature, and under the
provisions of the POLICE POWER cannot legally be made
to require construction of a quality excessive of that
which is necessary to furnish a reasonable degree of
safety. For details, see our permit
processing guide.
