The Public Counter staff provides information about Building and Safety services.  Services include the issuance of building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing permits and the review of engineering plans.

Locations and Directions to the Public Counter

There are two Building and Safety offices for Public Counter Services.  The Ventura Office is located on the 3rd floor of the Hall of Administration at the County Government Center Complex.  The complex is located at 800 S. Victoria Ave. between Santa Paula (126) Freeway and Telephone Rd.  The East County Office is located in Simi Valley on the 2nd floor of the East County Courthouse located at 3855-F Alamo Street.

7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday

Payment of Fees and Charges

The Building and Safety Division does not accept credit cards with the exception of DiscoverCard.  Payments must be in cash or with a check, payable to County of Ventura, Building and Safety Division.
