Making Child Support Payments

Pay Online

  • Submit online payments by credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa) or via transfer from a bank account.
  • Payments can be made without needing to register on the site.
  • Customer will need their SSN and participant ID.
 
 

Pay by Phone

Call 866-901-3212, select option 1, and submit electronic payments using a credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa) or via transfer from a bank account.

Pay by Mail

Payment in the form of a check or money order can be mailed to the CA State Disbursement Unit:

Customers should include their name and case number or participant ID. Please note, payments sent by mail or made at your local child support office should be done no later than 20th of each month. This address is for payments only. Do not send letters or court documents to this address and do not send payments to any other address. 

 

MoneyGram

Child support payments can be made via MoneyGram. Customers can find a location using www.moneygram.com/locations or by calling 1-800-926-9400 (1-800-955-7777 for Spanish). Please note, payments submitted via MoneyGram can take three to five business days to post to the child support case.

  • Customers will need their participant ID and use Receive Code 14630 for CA child support payments.
  • MoneyGram charges a $1.99 fee.
 

PaynearMe

PayNearMe allows customers to pay their Child Support obligation using cash, at participating 7-Eleven stores, Ace Cash Express and Family Dollar stores. Click here to find the nearest location. Please note, payments submitted via PaynearMe can take three to five business days to post to the child support case.

To utilize PayNearMe, you will need to do the following:

  1. Obtain a barcode (Paycode), which will need to be presented at the time of making a cash payment. You can request a Paycode by going to the PayNearMe website. Low cost fee of $1.99.
  2. You will be asked to enter your name, address, participant ID and an email or phone number where the Paycode will be sent.
  3. Once information is entered, you will be prompted to select a payee, “State of California DCSS.”
  4. You will receive an email or text with the Paycode, which will need to be presented at the payment location either on a smartphone or printed copy.

For customers who don’t have a credit card or debit card, or would prefer not to share their financial information on the internet, PayNearMe offers a convenient method to pay their obligation.

TouchPay Kiosk

Pay your child support in person with our payment kiosk, located in our lobby at 5171 Verdugo Way Camarillo, CA 93012.

    • Accepts cash, debit/credit cards and check
    • Customer, you will need your Participant ID # to associate the payment to your case(s)
    • Payments process and post to your account in 3-4 business days
