VFR ONLY

In the interest of safety, traffic flow, and noise abatement during VFR conditions and unless:

  • Considered unsafe
  • Required by the applicable distance from cloud criteria, or
  • Required by the presence of other adverse weather phenomena, or
  • Otherwise directed by ATC.

You are requested to observe the following:

ALL AIRCRAFT

  • No aircraft departures between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. without prior approval from the Airport Director.
  • Remain as high as practical over residential areas during overflight, approaches, and departures.
  • Use best rate of climb when departing any runway.
  • No formation takeoffs or landings without prior permission of the Airport Director.
  • Utilize low energy approaches.
  • Avoid residential overflights, "Fly Friendly" (AOPA Guidelines).
  • North traffic fly downwind over Hwy U.S. 101.

RUNWAY 26 DEPARTURE

  • When departing the airport traffic area use best rate of climb, remain on runway heading until beyond the departure end of the runway and reaching 700' AGL. If heading northwest initially, remain south of Central Ave.

RUNWAY 26 ARRIVAL

  • Right or left traffic during those hours the ATCT is in operation should commence with a 45 degree entry to the downwind and a base leg turn at or before reaching Las Posas Rd.
  • Fly at or above PAPU glideslope during approach.
  • Straight in VFR approaches prohibited when ATCT closed.

RUNWAY 26 TRAFFIC PATTERN

  • Published TPA: single engine aircraft 875' MSL; twin engine/turbine aircraft 1075' MSL.
  • Utilize best rate of climb. Conditions permitting, turn crosswind when reaching 700' AGL or the airport boundary, whichever comes first.
  • Maintain pattern altitude until turning base leg. Keep pattern inside Las Posas Rd.

RUNWAY 8 DEPARTURE

  • When departing the airport traffic area use best rate of climb and (when altitude permits) turn to avoid residential overflight before proceeding on course.
  • Exercise extreme caution due to opposite direction instrument approach traffic

RUNWAY 8 ARRIVAL

  •  Avoid overflight of the City of Camarillo during approach (right traffic).

RUNWAY 8 TRAFFIC PATTERN

  • Published TPA: single engine aircraft 875' MSL; twin engine/turbine aircraft 1075' MSL.
  • Utilize best rate of climb. Conditions permitting, turn crosswind when reaching Las Posas Rd. (right traffic).
  • Maintain pattern altitude until turning base leg.

WHEN THE ATCT IS CLOSED, MAKE LEFT TURNS TO RUNWAY 26 AND RIGHT TURNS TO RUNWAY 8.

NOTICE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FOLLOW ANY OF THE ABOVE PROCEDURES IF SUCH PROCEDURES ARE OUTSIDE THE OPERATING PARAMETERS OF YOUR AIRCRAFT OPERATING MANUAL.
